Super Hero 101 with HouseMart Ben Franklin Crafts at Waikiki Aquarium’s Family Night

Waikiki, HI (August 29, 2014) Super Heroes of all shapes, sizes and super powers were flying around the Waikiki Aquarium during their annual Family Night event. HouseMart Ben Franklin Crafts and the Hardware Science wizards-in-training were there to help create a magical night where children of all ages created their own super hero masks at the Power Up Station, and learn about science at the Hardware Science booths. Throughout the fun-filled night, kids crafted masks and were able to add their own “superpower” on them using marine animal adaptations such as sea urchin spines, swordfish swords, or even a anglerfishes’ lure. The pint-sized superheroes also attended Super Hero School, learning helpful marine science from booths such as the ones set up by Hardware Science.

“We had a great time helping the kids create their own super hero masks,” said Brandon Ching, store manager of HouseMart Ben Franklin Crafts at Market City. “Everyone got to learn a little about some of the fish, but also explore their creativity by crafting their masks. There were a lot of awesome looking masks that night!”
