Pukalani Ace’s 3rd Annual Evening with Santa, “A JAZZY CHRISTMAS”

Santa At Pukalani!

(December 8, 2012) For the 3rd straight year, Team Pukalani came together and pulled off a magical event. 2012’s event was titled “A JAZZY CHRISTMAS” featuring the King Kekaulike High School Jazz Band. At 6:30 pm, the audience started to gather outside of the mall entrance of the Pukalani store. When the clock struck 7pm, the ensemble began playing featuring various solo performances and fan favorites. Once 7:30pm came along and as the band played “Here Comes Santa Claus”, Santa and his helper Elf appeared at the middle of the mall and worked his way through the excited crowd and onto his grand chair inside of the store.

The children (approximately 50) and their parents quickly formed a line which extended two stores down to WeeWee Restaurant. As Santa talked to each kid and gave them a present, a photo was taken which could be picked up at a later date. The staff watched as the line got longer and longer, prompting Pukalani Elf Brandon to wrap more presents to meet the demand.

“We had a lot of happy children and parents,” said store manager Douglas Duarte. “We were the only ones in up country Maui to have a Santa until this year! It’s fun and we hope to start a tradition here.” Parents and shoppers felt that Pukalani Ace put on a great event for their community and thanked them. Team Pukalani had a feeling of happiness and accomplishment as it was the largest event put on by the team.
